Peter Szabo

I write fiction. Sometimes I write screenplays and make films.

I wrote and directed seven short films, including a screenplay adaptation of the short story, Nona, by Stephen King, which I also directed and renamed Love Never Dies.

In 2020, I finished my first fiction novel, then shelved it to learn more about the craft. I completed my second novel, a mystery-thriller named THE REVIVED, available as of November 3, 2025.

Now I’m revising the shelved first novel as a prequel to THE REVIVED.

I’m write mystery thrillers, but am also drawn to action, science fiction, and stories with a fast pace and emotional, even reactive, characters. A little romance has been known to warm my heart, and I also like some darkness.

I graduated from University of Toronto with a BA in English Lit. I earned an income writing technical documentation and marketing materials for various industries.

Fave authors include Jodi Picoult, Charles Dickens, Stephen King, John Irving, Brandon Sanderson.
